John C. Hutt, Jr was born in Richmond, Virginia and grew up in Westmoreland County, Virginia as a sixteenth generation Hutt in the county. After completing volunteer military service in U.S. Navy, John Hutt graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (now, Virginia Tech) with a degree in Business in 1972. He received his J.D. from University of Richmond and commenced work as an attorney with Hutt (John C. Hutt, Sr) and Robertson in Montross, VA in 1975. After working at Hutt & Robertson for twenty years, John established John C. Hutt, Jr. PC in 1994 in Warsaw, Virginia. He later relocated the firm to its current location in Montross, Virginia. His particular area of speciality is Real Estate law.
